Hey, faggot.

I'm tired of seeing people claiming that they hacked other players' accounts, profiles, whatever, or that they've been hacked. I'm here to teach you a lesson.

Today, in 2017 - soon to be 2018 - actual hacking is not an easy task. There are tons of security walls in place, and unless you've got a heartbleed-tier entrypath to the information you seek, then you're most likely out of luck. The fact of the matter is that if a player from Minecraft claims to have hacked another player's account, then the person is either lying or have no idea what they're talking about. Someone competent enough to actually hack into an account (the black hat way) wouldn't risk their balls for Minecraft accounts.

There are several ways to obtain the information needed to access other players' accounts, but they all require social engineering - AKA human mistakes, and/or the manipulation of humans. I could send you a shortened URL (i.e. bit.ly/link) which redirects to an IP logger, which immediately redirects to some other site, to grab your IP address without you knowing. I could ask you what kind of names you've named your previous pets, and voilà, I have the answer to the security question of what your first pet's name was. Finding your birthdate is easy, it's most likely either something simple like the 01-01-1980, or I can doxx you and find your information on social media.

The latest "hackings" that the server has seen were not done by people who are really IT-competent, so don't allow these faggots to think they're something other than faggots spending time guessing security question and passwords. The bottom line is that you have to have some fundamental understanding of how these "hackers" manage to gain access to your accounts in order to stay secure. I can guarantee you that these people are not stealth installing keyloggers on your system. They're sitting there, spending time guessing, or trying to find the answers they need through doxxing you.

One of the most recently "hacked" players used their own name or something as a password. Don't do that.

Keep your emails secure. Use different passwords for different services. Be careful not to blatantly shout out your security question answers. Keep your date of birth off of social media (actually, just delete all of your bullshit antisocial media while you're at it), be cautious of links, never install or run a program or file you're uncertain about, and change your god damn passwords every once in a while.

tl;dr
If you get hacked then it's most likely your fault for being stupid and naïve, most hacking is done through social engineering and not through what you consider to be hacking, read up on internet safety 101 if you think being a retard about your data online won't bring consequences.

Hey, faggot.
I'm just clarifying things for all those who aren't meme-ing when they yell about hackers.
